Sunday, January 31st 2016 the Northeast Regional Committee held their third travel clinic at the Roller Kingdom in Tyngsboro, Ma. and was once again a tremendous success!

Our focus this clinic was both to learn new skills and to make new friends, which we are happy to report…….. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Young skaters learned how to hold properly while executing “group formations” which was the subject of the first class taught by Bonnie Becker and Diane Gagnon. Tyngsboro precision skaters demonstrated many of the skills, making it easier for the newer skaters to understand. Groupings were formed by mixing skaters from all different clubs, proving that “teamwork” is the key to success!

MOVES IN THE FIELD, a USARS endorsed test program was the focus of our second class taught by Jodee Cohen, introduced skaters to a variety of skating basics which started with simple outside forward edges and ended in one foot turns and back to forward Mohawks. All skaters achieved levels of the test, while 13 skaters completed the test in its entirety!

In the end, skaters took part in a social skate complete with games and pizza!
Stay tuned for the date of our next clinic!
